mograph
An open-source Claude Code skill and plugin that makes cinematic, music-synced motion-graphics films about technical things, distilled from the workflow and five rounds of feedback behind the VASE Propulsion film.
A flatbed film editor on a bench: picture and sound run in sync from plate to plate, the reels turn, the film passes through the prism gate and the sound head, and the viewing screen shows the frame, a capsule climbing on its plume, while a lamp blinks on the beat.
A Claude Code skill for technical motion-graphics films
What it does
Ask Claude for an explainer film and mograph has it work like a motion designer. First it finds the truth: the claims, the numbers, the real events with real dates. Then it maps the song: the silences, quiet stretches, drops and kicks. Then it hangs the story on that structure: the shock on the energetic intro, the explanation on the quiet part, the reveal on the drop.
Every frame is drawn in code by one isometric renderer, so a rocket, a desk lamp and a mountain range share one camera and one shading. Headless Chrome seeks the page a frame at a time and pipes it into ffmpeg: a 1920 × 1080, 60 fps MP4 with a continuous soundtrack and synthesized sound effects.
What is in the repo
The method (SKILL.md and its references), the kit (themes, the iso camera, lathes, terrain, cel-shaded explosions, HUDs, keyword highlighting), the scripts (song analysis, pitch-kept stretching only inside silences, sound effects, a jitter check, the renderer) and two examples: a 24-second demo that runs on a generated beat, and the full source of the VASE Propulsion film.

Where it came from
The film for the aerospike patent took five rounds of feedback. Each one became a rule: never chop the music, give every failure its own world, put the sentence where the eye already is, make the hook shocking and true, and check motion numerically when the eye cannot. The lessons are written into the skill so the next film starts where this one ended.
