A sentiment tool for news articles using VADER, built to classify tone quickly across a stream of pieces.

A newspaper feeder on a bench: sheets slide one at a time from a stacked tray into a reader, and the dial gauge on the reader swings to each sheet's sentiment score, from negative on the left to positive on the right.
Automated tone over a firehose of headlines
VADER-based scoring over news text. The point was speed: a dashboard of tone, not a literary critic. Later adjacent work included transformer-based news sentiment experiments.
