Work / Fig 13 · 2025
Sigmoid Technologies
Founded January 2025. Talk2Note plus FBT full-body tracking. Full-stack, June–August 2025 in Delaware. Sunsetted; the grit remained.
A linear cam on a bench, its top cut to the logistic curve 1/(1+e^−x). A carriage on a lead-screw rail drives a roller follower along it: the follower rod rises slowly, then steeply through the middle, then levels off against a 0 to 1 scale. At the end of the run the carriage parks and the status lamp dims.
Education AI and accessible XR
Sigmoid was the vehicle for AI in education and immersive tech: Talk2Note for students, FBT Software for cheap XR tracking. Vision models were pushed to ~98% on the tracking task. The company sunsetted. The work did not evaporate — it is the reason the lab notebook still has those pages.
